Supporting the Warkworth Museum

The Warkworth Museum is a self-funding charitable organisation and without the help of our members and volunteers we would not be able to continue to grow and develop our exhibits and offer a great experience for visitors.

As a community built Museum, we aim to conserve and preserve the history of our local area and we could not do this without your support.

You can support us in number ways including becoming a volunteer, making donations/bequests or by becoming a Museum member.

Volunteering

The Warkworth Museum relies on the generosity of volunteers who give their time and knowledge to help run and maintain our exhibits and to provide a great visitor experience.  We are always looking for volunteers to assist in the various parts of Museum life.

As a volunteer you can put your skills to good use or learn new ones and you will play an important part in keeping the history of your local area alive. We provide a friendly and sociable environment for our people and we work hard to ensure you find enjoyment and satisfaction from being a part of our team.

There are many ways you can get involved including the options below.  If you would like to find out more about becoming a volunteer please contact us. We would love to hear from you.

Donations and Bequests

There are many ways that you can help support the Warkworth Museum and ensure it continues to capture and preserve the past now and for future generations to come.

Donations of any size are welcome and through donations we are able to provide education programmes for schools as well as providing information sharing opportunities for community groups and individuals. Donations also assist us with exhibition and building maintenance and allow us to continue to provide a great Museum experience.

You can make a one off or regular donation, become a member of the Museum or you can make a bequest in your will and arrange to leave a legacy.

Donations of historical material

The Warkworth Museum also actively seeks donations of historical material for its collections.

Many families in the district have already donated family treasures for their preservation within the Museum and you can too.

Thank You

We appreciate and say a big thank you to all of our sponsors, local businesses, funding partners and members who support the museum.
