Volunteering

Why not become a Warkworth Museum Volunteer and help keep the museum running?

If you are interested in talking with the volunteers, then visit us on a Wednesday. This is “Wednesday Workers’ Day” when the museum is a hive of activity as volunteers go about their tasks.

If you can spare half a day a month  (or more) we are very short of people to man the reception desk. We run two shifts, mornings from 10- 12.30 Winter or 10 – 1.pm Summer and 12.30-3pm Winter and 1pm-4pm in the Summer

If you would like to join the Museum Society, or would like to know more about being a volunteer or receptionist please contact us. We would love to hear from you!

Here at Warkworth Museum we have a desire to enhance our current involvement with our local schools and their students, through providing meaningful learning opportunities outside of the classroom.

Donating

Your donation will help us to inspire a passion for Warkworth, as well as preserving this great districts history for future generations.

The Museum actively seeks donations of historical material for the archives – many families in the district have lodged their family material for safe-keeping and preservation with the museum.

See our Collections Policy page for more details.
