This week we would like to thank the TePapa National Services Te Paerangi team at the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa for recently granting us funding from their Helping Hands grant for conservation supplies and promotional materials.
In his 2017 Jamie Bell, Director at the New Zealand Cricket Museum, identified our textile collection as a strength of our museum. He also identified collection damage as being a threat. To ensure that our textiles collections are preserved for current and future generations, we are constantly striving to meet best practice storage standards as outlined by Papa National Services’ guidelines. This Helping Hands grant allows us to continue this work in our textiles department.
