Who are we ?
The Warkworth and District Museum’s main aim is to conserve and preserve the history of Warkworth and the surrounding district. We have well-presented internal and external displays representing the colonial past to more recent times. We are constantly developing and changing our displays to give our visitors an insight into the varied lives and pursuits of our pioneering families. The Museum Archives contains local historical records and photographs which are available to researchers.
We engage with different community groups Auckland wide and visits from school groups, tour groups and community groups are actively encouraged. We also participate in community events, have displays in local libraries, and hold annual open days.
