In July the museum received a grant of $4,633 from the Rodney Local Board to purchase acid-free storage boxes for its Archives.  Our Archives hold historical documents relating to Warkworth and its districts including family bibles, personal diaries, newspapers, photographs, maps, school records and many more documents.  These specialist boxes follow national museum best practice for archival storage and will ensure the longer term preservation of our many old and valuable documents for the community.

The museum appreciates the Local Board’s support in assisting the museum to protect the district’s historical records for future generations.
